Extensions, openings and retaining walls on sloping sites, with a site visit and a fixed fee quoted first.
Read moreStructural and civil engineering across Co. Wicklow, from Blessington and the west of the county to Bray, Greystones and the coast.
West Wicklow is closer to Newbridge than most people expect: Blessington and Baltinglass are a short drive across the county boundary. The coast, from Bray to Arklow, is reached over the M50 and the N11. Either way, the engineer who visits is the one who designs the job and signs for it.
Wicklow sites are rarely flat. A house on a slope needs its retaining walls and its foundations designed for the hill, and a site on the coast or by a river needs its flood risk understood before the layout is fixed.
Planning applications in the county go to Wicklow County Council, at County Buildings in Wicklow town, which is also the building control authority. Much of the county is upland or coast, and a planning application there is often asked about visual impact, drainage and flood risk as much as about the building itself.
