The control building is single storey with a precast composite flat roof. Twin walls hold its lateral stability and carry the floor and the framing, and the filigree units span simply supported onto them with a structural screed over the top.

The converter transformer area is the harder condition: its twin walls are free standing and unbraced in the permanent case, so they were designed to take horizontal load without a diaphragm to lean on. Elsewhere the screeded filigree floor does that job and delivers the load into the shear walls.
