Structural, civil and precast engineering from our own office at Baroda Court, for homes, businesses and developments across Newbridge.
Newbridge is where the office is: 51 Baroda Court, W12 HR58. A site in the town is minutes away, and a meeting is across the desk from the engineer who will design the job and sign for it.
We take on extensions, openings in load bearing walls, surveys of houses for sale and Opinions on Compliance for homeowners in the town, and the drainage and connections a new house or a small development needs.
Kildare County Council is the planning authority and the building control authority, at Áras Chill Dara on Devoy Park in Naas, and commencement notices are lodged with it through the national Building Control Management System. Newbridge is in the Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District.
Since February 2026 the town has been planned under the Newbridge Settlement Plan, made as a variation of the Kildare County Development Plan 2023 to 2029. It replaced the old local area plan, so an application in the town is now read against the county plan and the settlement plan together.
The Liffey runs through the middle of the town, and the Office of Public Works. The state body that leads flood risk management in Ireland, and publishes the national flood maps on floodinfo.ie.'s flood study for the east of the country picked Newbridge out for detailed assessment along it. The maps are on floodinfo.ie, and the council has already carried out flood works at Dara Park and The Oaks. A site by the river will be asked about flood risk at planning, and the answer is cheaper before the design is fixed than after.
The Curragh, at the edge of the town, sits on one of the largest sand and gravel deposits in the country, up to sixty metres deep at its centre, which drains well and usually takes a soakaway. Within the town the ground varies from one estate to the next, so a percolation test on the site, rather than the reputation of the area, decides what the drainage can be.
Drawings, a specification, or the site address and the programme dates: whatever you have is enough to start. We come back inside two working days, and a written fee proposal against a defined scope follows within three working days of that.
