Eight storeys of hotel inside a mixed use city block, in two blocks that had to go up together.
Solid precast walls internally and externally across blocks three and four, with wideslab units and precast stairs. In situ rib beams, slabs and columns designed by others are integrated into the frame, and the wideslabs sit simply supported on the precast walls and those beams.

The walls carry the slabs, the stair landings and the lateral stability at once. Propping holds the frame through erection, and the screeded wideslab deck then works as a diaphragm, taking wind and notional horizontal load back into the shear walls.

Send us the project.
Drawings, a specification, or the site address and the programme dates: whatever you have is enough to start. We come back inside two working days, and a written fee proposal against a defined scope follows within three working days of that.
