# Seatown Lane and Lissenhall Bridges

> Two road bridges for Fingal County Council, with a precast deck at Seatown Lane that kept the work off the road and out of the channel.

- Sector: [Public Infrastructure](https://www.petruf.ie/projects/public-infrastructure.md)
- Location: Swords, Co. Dublin
- Completed: 2014
- Client: Fingal County Council
- Customer: Stresslite Floors and Tanks

Two crossings on a road network that could not be closed for long.

The Seatown Lane bridge was built with a precast concrete deck, delivered with Stresslite Floors and Tanks. A deck cast in a yard and lifted in is a deck that is not being formed, poured and cured over a live road.

That is most of the argument for precast on a bridge: the on site work shrinks to the lifting and the connections, the closure shortens with it, and the quality of the unit is settled before it ever arrives.
