# Rezz Hotel

> An eight storey micro hotel of ninety bedrooms over a basement in Cork city centre, replacing a four storey building on the same footprint.

- Sector: [Hospitality](https://www.petruf.ie/projects/hospitality.md)
- Location: Cork
- Completed: 2020
- Client: Townmore Construction
- Customer: Keegan Precast

Ninety bedrooms and a ground floor bar, on the footprint of the four storey building that was demolished to make room.

The frame is precast, which is what makes eight storeys over a basement work on a city centre plot: the elements are cast while the demolition and the basement are still going on, and the structure goes up in lifts rather than in pours.

A micro hotel is a repeated cell, so the frame repeats with it. That is the condition precast is most efficient in, and the reason the programme holds.
