# Motel One

> A hotel on Liffey Street in the middle of Dublin, built in precast to hold a programme on a street with no room to store anything.

- Sector: [Hospitality](https://www.petruf.ie/projects/hospitality.md)
- Location: Liffey Street, Dublin
- Completed: 2020
- Client: Glenbeigh Construction
- Customer: DoubleL Concrete

Temple Bar on one side, Trinity and Grafton Street on the other, and a footpath for a site compound.

Precast does the work a city centre hotel needs it to do: the elements arrive finished, go up in sequence, and take the wet trades and the drying time off the programme. What is cast in a factory is not being cast on a street that has to stay open.

The result is a frame built for a long service life in a dense setting, with the material used efficiently enough to matter on a building of this size.
