# Structural Engineers in Meath

> Structural, civil and precast engineering for homes and housing developments across Co. Meath, from Navan to Ashbourne.

Meath is one of the fastest growing counties in the country, and most of what is being built there is housing. We have designed in precast for a development on the Dunville Road in Navan, and take on extensions, surveys and certification for homeowners across the county.

## What we do in Meath

### [Precast Concrete](https://www.petruf.ie/services/precast-concrete)

Frames for apartment and housing developments, as on the Dunville Road in Navan.

### [SuDS and Drainage Design](https://www.petruf.ie/services/civil-engineering/suds-design)

Surface water and foul drainage for new estates, designed to be taken in charge.

### [Uisce Éireann Connections](https://www.petruf.ie/services/civil-engineering/irish-water-connections)

The connection applications and agreements a development needs, made as your agent.

### [Roads Design](https://www.petruf.ie/services/civil-engineering/roads-design)

Estate roads, lighting and footpaths to the council's standards from the first drawing.

### [Flood Risk Assessments](https://www.petruf.ie/services/civil-engineering/flood-risk-assessments)

For sites near the Boyne, the Blackwater and the Tolka.

### [Structural Calculations](https://www.petruf.ie/services/structural-engineering/structural-calculations)

Extensions and openings in load bearing walls, with a site visit and a fixed fee quoted first.

### [Building Regulations Compliance](https://www.petruf.ie/services/consulting-and-compliance/building-regulations-compliance)

Opinions on Compliance, and design and assigned certification under BCAR.

## Planning and building control

Planning applications in the county go to [Meath County Council](https://www.meath.ie/), at Buvinda House in Navan, which is also the building control authority. On a new estate the council will ask early how the roads and drainage are to be taken in charge, so they are designed to the council's standards from the start rather than adjusted at the end.

## Towns we cover

Navan, Ashbourne, Ratoath, Dunboyne, Dunshaughlin, Trim, Kells, Enfield, Laytown and Bettystown, and the countryside between them.

## Our work in the county

## Questions from the county

### Will Meath County Council take my estate roads in charge?

It will once they are built to its standards and the snag list is closed, which is why the roads, the lighting and the drainage are designed to those standards from the first drawing. Taking in charge is the last step of a design that started with it in mind, not a separate job at the end.

### Do you work for homeowners in Meath, or only developers?

Both. An extension, an opening in a load bearing wall, a survey on a house you are buying or an Opinion on Compliance for a sale are all jobs we take on in the county. The first call is free.
